What You Can Drive with an HR Licence

  • Trucks and buses with a GVM more than 8 tonnes and three or more axles.
  • Any towed trailer must not weigh more than 9 tonnes GVM.
  • Bendy buses, treated as rigid vehicles.

Requirements to Obtain HR Licence in NSW

Licence Requirement

You must have held a class C licence for at least two years. Time spent on a P1 licence can be considered.

Knowledge Test

Pass the RMS HR knowledge test.

Eyesight Test

Pass an RMS eyesight test.
